Our Ensembles
Marching Band
The Marching Band is composed of all students in the Wilson Central High School Band family. The Marching Band can be seen and heard at Wilson Central football games, local parades, and area competitions. The marching band rehearses twice a week after school during the fall, following a band camp prior to the beginning of the school year.
Concert Bands
The Wilson Central Band is composed of two different concert ensembles, Symphonic Band and Concert Band. Concert Band is made up of students from all grades and performs Grade 3 music. Symphonic Band is joined by audition and is primarily formed by 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students. Symphonic Band performs Grade 5 music.
Both ensembles perform several concerts throughout the year and at the Middle Tennessee School Band and Orchestra Associations Concert Performance Assessment.
Winter Guard
The Wilson Central Winter Guard is made up of any student interested in participating in the activity. To join, students do not need any prior experience. The Winter Guard is a member of the Southeastern Color Guard Circuit and performs at local SCGC competitions and WGI regionals.
Jazz Band
Jazz Band meets weekly after school during the spring semester. The Jazz Band is made up of Saxophones, Trumpets, Trombones, and a Rhythm section. The Jazz Band performs at several concerts and local events as are available.
